Data Analyst / Tableau Report Writer (Remote from Austin only)

Data Analyst Report Writer Remote from Austin area. May require team members to come into the office for scheduled meetings, and there may be unscheduled requests with 72 hour notice for any business need (Austin 78778, no expenses are covered). Duration initially through 8/31/2025, likely to extend. • Gather, analyze, and document requirements for the organization’s data visualization needs using the data warehouse • Perform detailed data analysis from a variety of source systems • Develop reports, dashboards and interactive visualizations for the data warehouse project using different components of Tableau software including Tableau desktop and Tableau server • Work with the Data Architect, Systems Analyst and Subject Matter Experts to understand the data and align this with the data visualization requirements • Perform other analysis and documentation tasks as required to facilitate and support the Enterprise Data Warehouse • Mentor and train junior Tableau and data visualization developers Required • 4-7+ years of analyzing data from a variety of source systems and different database technologies using SQL • 4-7+ years of designing, developing and validating reports, data visualization and dashboards using Tableau. This must include: -building, publishing customized interactive reports and dashboards -report scheduling using Tableau server -creating action filters, parameters and calculated sets for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau -developing Tableau workbooks from multiple data sources using Data Blending -publishing reports using Tableau public • 4-7+ years of gathering, analyzing and generating data visualization requirements for a data warehouse • 4-7+ years of experience working on a data warehouse (both relational and dimensional) team • 4-7+ years of translating requirements into data visualization needs • 2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL • 3+ years’ experience mentoring and training junior Tableau developers Preferred 3+ years of experience in Public Sector delivery What We Offer • Remote role with minimal onsite in Austin 78778. • Competitive compensation and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, accident insurance and short-term disability insurance • Great work-life balance This is a contract opportunity in Austin, Texas and no sponsorship can be provided.
