About the Job: As a member of our Data Team within our retail energy group, you will work across Capco’s different domains and solution offerings to help break down large problems, develop approaches and solutions. As a Data Analyst, you will create analytics reporting and provide data-driven strategic insights, trends, and perspective to help drive transformation for our clients. What You’ll Get to Do: Analyze large datasets from retail energy providers, including customer usage, pricing, products, transactions, invoices, and operational metrics Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings clearly to internal teams and clients Write advanced SQL queries to extract data from data bases, including wildcard qualifiers and table joins Interpret data to uncover quality issues, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for operational or strategic improvement Collaborate with consultants and clients to define analytical objectives and deliver data-driven recommendations Support forecasting, segmentation, and predictive modeling efforts using statistical and machine learning techniques Stay current on retail energy trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform analysis Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the analytics lifecycle What You’ll Bring with You: 3+ years of experience in data analytics, with retail energy (must have) Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Solid understanding of retail energy markets, including customer acquisition, retention, and pricing strategies Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity Previous Management Consulting experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field Why Capco?
