Data Analyst, Meter Data

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is a mission-driven organization focused on public health and environmental sustainability. They are seeking a Data Analyst to provide operational functions of the wastewater/water metering system, including the collection, storage, and analysis of flow data to ensure accuracy in reporting.ResponsibilitiesCollects, stores, and analyzes flow data for the MWRA's wastewater/water metering systemWorks with meter maintenance crews in the troubleshooting, repair and calibration of wastewater/water metering equipmentPrograms computers, laptops, and other equipment utilizing specialized metering software to enable electronic collection and retrieval of wastewater/water flow dataPerforms computerized diagnostic and statistical functions using wastewater/water metering system software, makes assessments regarding meter maintenance needs and coordinates scheduling of meter maintenance using the MWRA's asset management software packageMaintains wastewater/water meter databases, activity journal and assists in the preparation of meter data analyses and report preparationParticipates in the development of new systems as needed to enhance wastewater/water flow data management capabilitiesPerforms related duties as requiredSkillsA Bachelor's degree in any technical or analytical field such as math, business, accounting or management requiredAt least one (1) years of experience performing data or statistical analyses using spreadsheet, database, CMM or other computer software applicationsAny equivalent combination of education and experienceEligible for telework up to 50% of the work week after initial waiting periodExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to understand and follow written and oral instructionsAbility to manage, query and analyze data in spreadsheet applications such as MS ExcelRelational database/SQL knowledge preferredExperience with SQL and one object-oriented computer language (R, Python, Visual Basic, etc.) preferredCompany OverviewTHIS PAGE IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH MWRA/MASSACHUSETTS WATER RESOURCES AUTHORITY Please visit our **OFFICIAL** LinkedIn page @ MWRA It was founded in undefined, and is headquartered in , with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
