Daily Claims Representative, P&C Insurance

Job Description: • Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of liability concerning first party homeowner property losses and damages. • Effectively communicate with policyholders, agents, and service providers via phone, email, and internal systems to accurately document claim details. • Successfully manage a pending claim load at varying stages of the claims process. • Interpret and apply the details of an insurance policy to ensure the accuracy of payments and claims declinations. • Interpret and apply computer generated loss estimates, engineer’s reports, and construction terminology. • Update and maintain comprehensive claim handling notations in our electronic claims management system and other related applications. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience as a desk adjuster in the homeowner/property industry. • Adjusting all perils (Plumbing (water mitigation), theft, vandalism, wind, hail, and fire). • Understanding of various policies and how to evaluate and apply appropriate coverage. • Comfortable with contractors and vendors to resolve claims efficiently and within the policy provisions. • Experience conducting recorded statements. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including drafting professional letters and e-mails. • Ability to stay calm under pressure and deescalate difficult situations. • Proficient in handling complex claims with loss values up to $100K.
