Cyber Security Engineer I

Dawn Foods is a global leader in bakery manufacturing and ingredients distribution, and they are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer I. This entry-level role is responsible for protecting the network and systems from cyber-attacks while supporting cybersecurity solutions and ensuring compliance with security policies. Responsibilities Assist and support cybersecurity solutions for organizational systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards Work with IT and internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation, and configuration process of hardware and software Analyze and make recommendations to improve network, system, and application architectures Examine network, server, and application logs to identify trends and security incidents Assist in reviewing and updating cybersecurity policies, architectures, and standards Assist in responding to audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments Investigate new technologies to determine their usefulness and make recommendations accordingly Assist with legal investigations and compliance reporting Review with 3rd party vendor solutions for risks and reporting Assist with cybersecurity-related training and testing Ability to multitask and adapt to a high-paced IT environment Perform other related duties as assigned or requested Skills A High School Diploma or GED is required An associate's degree in computer science, cyber defense/security, information technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in cybersecurity, desktop support, or networking; 3 years of relevant IT experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree Experience in troubleshooting IT solutions is preferred Cybersecurity, IT Security or similar certifications (Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, ISC2), or progress toward obtaining them, is preferred Experience with or coursework in computer programming or scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar) is preferred Experience working in team-based, collaborative environments Customer service experience is preferred Benefits Industry-leading health insurance on Day 1!
