Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Representative to work from home in Florida. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for our members, providers, and plan sponsors, resolving issues and answering questions via phone and email. You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, utilizing multiple platforms to research and resolve claims, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities


Answers questions and resolves issues based on phone calls/letters from members, providers, and plan sponsors, triaging resulting rework to appropriate staff.
Provides excellent customer service for high-volume inbound provider calls for the Claims Inquiry/Claims Research team, conducting extensive claims research on multiple platforms to assist providers with payment questions.
Educates and assists providers on our self-service options, and assists with credentialing and re-credentialing and contracting questions and issues.
Processes claim referrals, new claim handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints (member/provider), grievance and appeals (member/provider) via target system.
Determines medical necessity, applicable coverage provisions, and verifies member plan eligibility relating to incoming correspondence and internal referrals.
Assists in compiling claim data for customer audits, and provides related information to answer unasked questions, such as additional plan details, benefit plan details, and member self-service tools.


Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications


Must live in the state of Florida full-time.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Experience in a highly transactional call center environment.
Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
High-speed internet access (25 mbps or higher) and consistent connection.
Work location must be set up with a direct connection to the router (NOT Wi-Fi).


Preferred Qualifications


Previous experience in the healthcare industry.
Knowledge of healthcare terminology and concepts.
Experience working with multiple platforms and systems.
