Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative - Utility Services, your primary responsibilities will include:


Responding to customer inquiries and resolving complaints concerning utility bills and services
Processing customer utility payments through cash registers and maintaining accurate records
Processing and preparing accounts for utility billing and taking requests for letters of credit
Managing landlord and rental property files, as well as active utility files
Interviewing the public on matters requiring the interpretation of office policies and procedures
Processing customer applications for utility services and performing related duties as required


Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:


High school education or equivalent required
Knowledge of business English and arithmetic
Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to keep records and make reports
Ability to perform a variety of clerical tasks, such as typing, filing, balancing, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience in clerical work involving considerable contact with the public and handling money
