About the position

As a Customer Experience Specialist in Firearms/Sporting Goods at the Lewis Main Store, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional guest experience. Your primary responsibility will be to support a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring that every customer has an extraordinary shopping experience. You will be knowledgeable about the products available in the Firearms/Sporting Goods departments and will stay updated on product knowledge to assist customers effectively. Your duties will include organizing and maintaining firearms in all locations within the store, including the Firearms Counter and Firearms Vault. You will also be responsible for ensuring that 4473 forms are completed thoroughly and accurately, as well as receiving firearms using logbooks and electronic systems. Your expertise and helpful suggestions will encourage customers to continue shopping at the Exchange. In this role, you will greet every customer with eye contact and a smile, acknowledging every waiting customer as soon as they arrive at the Firearms counter/Sporting Goods department area. Listening to customer needs and asking appropriate follow-up questions will be essential to ensure you offer products that meet their specific requirements. You will complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation, contributing to an extraordinary shopping experience. Responsibilities

Requirements
• Completion of high school or the equivalent.
,
• Retail experience.
,
• Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
,
• Knowledge and experience in selling firearms and ammunition is preferred.
,
• Previous experience with Inventory Control procedures preferred.
,
• Prior knowledge and experience with firearms preferred.
,
• Understanding of ATF laws and regulations.
,
• Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
,
• Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions.
,
• Excellent attention to detail.
,
• Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store as needed.
,
• Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members.

• Excellent communication skills.
,
• Basic computer skills.
,
• 12 months of retail experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition sales.
