You will be a part of the Science Operations team - a close-knit group of dedicated, resourceful humans, handling all things labs, facilities, and logistics.About you:
You’re a hands-on caretaker who treats the building like your home - stepping in to keep every corner welcoming and functional. Meticulous and resourceful, you follow routines, tackle minor issues before they grow, and pivot effortlessly as needs shift. You have a “find it, fix it” mentality and are always willing to jump in and help where needed, even without being asked. What you'll do in this role:
Clean office spaces and common areas - vacuuming, mopping, trash collection, wiping down surfaces, and more
Maintain spotless restrooms and kitchenettes across both buildings
Assist with inventory, stocking, and ordering supplies
Proactively identify upkeep needs (spills, scuffs, clutter) and tackle them without waiting for direction
Assemble furniture, mount fixtures, and handle basic workspace reconfigurations (including the occasional event setup)
Partner on team projects that improve facility functionality and organization
Provide occasional weekend or holiday coverage, with opportunities for overtime as needs arise You might thrive in this role if:
Aren’t intimidated by getting dirty and cleaning things you have never cleaned before
Enjoy variety and wearing multiple hats, switching between cleaning, stocking, and simple upkeep duties
Are detail-oriented and organized and take pride in keeping workspaces, surfaces, and supply closets in top shape
Adapt quickly to changing needs and priorities, staying flexible in Retro’s dynamic environment
Have the physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders safely, and move around the facility with ease
Are comfortable using basic digital tools for simple inventory tracking and supply requests
Show a “find it, fix it” mindset, proactively spotting and addressing small issues to improve our labs and offices
