Curriculum Developer ( Media Arts - ASM2O)

• Compensation: $2,000–$2,500 CAD (fixed fee for full course development)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Curriculum Developer to design and develop the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) course Media Arts (ASM2O) in alignment with Ontario Ministry of Education standards.

This is a contract-based, part-time opportunity ideal for an educator or curriculum specialist with experience in Ontario secondary education and business studies.

Qualifications
• Experience teaching or developing the OSSD course Media Arts (Grade 10 - ASM2O)
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations
• Familiarity with Growing Success and Ontario assessment and evaluation guidelines
• Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification - asset

Responsibilities
• Design and develop the complete ASM2O course in alignment with Ontario curriculum expectations.
• Create lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in appropriate formats (e.g., teacher-led content, video scripts, evaluation tools).
• Develop clear grading rubrics and ensure assessment consistency.
• Align all evaluation components with Growing Success and Ontario assessment guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Product Development team and participate in required meetings.

Course Structure

This course includes 66 lessons in total:
• Instructional Lessons – 60 Lessons
• Final Evaluation – 6 Lessons:
• Final Exam – 2 Lessons
• Culminating Assignment – 2 Lessons
• Alternate Final Exam Option – 2 Lessons

Each unit must include:
• 2 Assessments as Learning
• 2 Assessments for Learning
• 2 Assessments of Learning

In total, the course requires a minimum of 10 Assessment of Learning tasks.
