DescriptionWork from Home (WFH) - Remote work must be performed while residing in California or New MexicoCIAT Campus Locations: San Diego, CA and Albuquerque, NMReports to: Curriculum ManagerStatus: ExemptEmployment Type: Full-timeSummary:This role is responsible for independently overseeing administrative and compliance functions related tocurriculum development, exercising discretion and judgment in ensuring academic quality andcompliance with institutional and accreditation standards.Administrative Tasks:Oversee and evaluate the status of course content creation projects, both new development and course updates, identifying priorities and making recommendations to ensure timely completion. Follow up regularly with content creators to keep deliverables on scheduleSupport the Canvas Team to coordinate the creation of course shells for new and updated coursesDirect and recommend course scheduling strategies, optimizing for common courses across programs, and advising academic leadership on improvements. Identify delays in content creation and update timelines and communicate proactively with the Dean and Curriculum ManagerMaintain and update curriculum documentation and procedures, establishing standards and recommending revisions to improve efficiency and compliance. Quarterly review of course and program records for completeness, accuracy, and complianceCompliance Tasks:Conduct reviews and evaluations of submitted course materials to ensure they meet established internal standards and guidelines, making determinations if revisions are requiredEnsure and confirm that courses meet standards for instructional time and student engagement per federal and accreditation guidelines, resolving discrepancies if necessary.Leads the continuous improvement of content creation and update workflows and documentationUpdate and maintain tracking spreadsheets to reflect the latest data related to content creation and Canvas course build for Associate Deans and the Canvas TeamAssist in maintaining compliance with accreditation related to instruction and the quality of educationReview and approve instructional materials provided by content creators to ensure proper citation, licensing, and adherence to fair use policies; make determinations and flag potential copyright concerns and work with faculty and academic teams to resolve issues before course launchRequirementsBachelor’s degree required, must be from an accredited institutionExperience in higher education, curriculum management, accreditation compliance, or related professional-level work preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentBasic data reporting and spreadsheet management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams) and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS)Preferred experience in education administration, academic operations, curriculum development, or a related fieldPreferred experience working with course development projects or Higher Educational content updatesFamiliarity with course scheduling and academic calendar planning is preferredKnowledge of instructional design is preferredSelf-motivated with a strong work ethic; dedicated to quality, quantity, and timeliness of resultsAble to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentialityDemonstrated ability to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgmentDetail oriented, excellent analytical and problem resolution skillsExhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environmentPosition may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours to accommodate business needs and deadlinesWork independently with minimal supervision, with a high level of dependabilityAbility to multitaskAbility to work collaboratively with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to support student success, achieve institutional goals and contribute to a positive and inclusive cultureCommitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that respects the diversity of students' backgrounds, experiences, and perspectivesKnowledge of current trends, best practices, and didactic approaches in higher educationDemonstrated ability to deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of studentsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information and interact with students, colleagues, and othersPossess high ethical standards, being an example of professionalism to othersCompliance with all college policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to academic integrity, student conduct, and instructional deliveryMust be able to embody CIAT’s mission, vision, purpose and valuesPosition Type and Expected Hours of WorkDays and hours of work are Monday-Thursday: 10:00am-7:00pm and Friday: 8:00am 5:00pm. Work must be conducted in locations that have been approved by the company.
