The Institute of Free Technology is a startup studio with several internal startups laying the foundations for a freer internet upon which communities can evolve into network states. The team: IFT Investments protects & grows treasury assets across three strategies: Short-term (<1 year): Global listed bonds (Govi’s, IG corporates) & crypto staking yield Medium-term (1-3 years): Liquid Crypto Token trading Long-term (3+ years): Venture capital (crypto & related businesses) They Role & Key Responsibilities: Role: We're seeking a mid-level crypto Investment Analyst & a senior-level crypto Investment Associate to drive investment decisions across our liquid token portfolio. The ideal candidates combine strong analytical capability with a deep practical understanding of crypto markets i.e. you have used & invested in multiple protocols, across different chains/ecosystems. Responsibilities: Investment Analysis & Research Conduct comprehensive market analysis across global macro and digital assets Research macro trends, protocols, and emerging sector narratives Identify and evaluate high-potential investment opportunities Develop financial models and valuation frameworks Create detailed investment memoranda for committee review Portfolio Management Support Support trading & execution for approved strategies & deals Monitor portfolio performance and risk metrics with monthly performance reports Track investment objectives and rebalancing needs Maintain detailed investment documentation Strategic Development Build and maintain key industry relationships Serve as subject matter expert on market trends Support senior investment managers in strategy execution Participate in investment committee discussions Required Qualifications: Minimum 3 years crypto investment experience (using protocols & trading/investing) - only apply if you have this experience! Must write a concise cover letter, briefly describing crypto investment experience: Examples of past crypto investments (successes and lessons learned) Current market view/thesis and specific projects of interest Preferred approach/style of investing and focus areas (e.g. sectors: DeFi, infra. e.g. chains ETH, SOL etc) Applications without a cover letter as stated above will not be considered.
