Assesses, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates the appropriate level of patient care according to scope of practice, EMS Protocols, department policies and procedures. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate. Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions. Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public. Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and appropriately secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport. Operates emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance with established safety standards. Maintains the unit in a constant state of readiness and completes medication, supplies, and equipment inventories each shift, restocking as needed. Ensures patient and departmental documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance at all times. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Basic computer skills [Required] Education: • Associate [Preferred] • Bachelor's [Preferred] Field of Study: • of Science in health-related field. • Successful completion of UMBC, University of Florida, AdventHealth EMS Critical Care Paramedic curriculum, or AdventHealth University Critical Care Paramedic curriculum OR Critical Care Paramedic certification (CCEMT-P, CICP, UF CCP, FP-C, CCP-C). Required Work Experience: • 1+ advanced life support transport experience. [Required] • 3+ critical care transport experience. [Preferred] • 5+ advanced life support transport experience [Preferred] • 5+ driving passenger vehicles [Required] Licenses and Certifications: • Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required] • Commercial Drivers License (CDL) [Required] OR • Driver's License (DL) [Required] • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required] • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required] • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required] • Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) [Required] OR • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) [Required] Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - https://tinyurl.com/yde4bfwx Pay Range: $23.71 - $44.09 This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
