Role Overview Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to source experienced criminal justice experts for a research initiative aimed at advancing AI reasoning in legal and law enforcement contexts. This project focuses on improving model understanding of criminal law, justice systems, investigative methods, and related casework. Researchers will help design and evaluate content that trains and benchmarks frontier AI systems. This is a short-term, project-based opportunity for professionals with deep expertise in criminal justice. 2. Key Responsibilities - Evaluate and refine AI-generated responses related to criminal justice topics - Develop high-quality prompts, questions, and evaluation rubrics - Review case-based content for accuracy, relevance, and realism - Provide expert feedback on legal and procedural correctness in criminal scenarios - Collaborate with AI researchers to simulate real-world criminal justice workflows 3. Ideal Qualifications - Graduate degree in criminal justice, criminology, law, or a related field - 3+ years of professional experience in criminal justice research or applied practice - Deep familiarity with U.S. legal systems, police procedures, or case law - Excellent written communication and critical analysis skills - Prior experience with research, teaching, or technical writing preferred 4.
