Job Overview A well-established Arizona-based criminal defense firm is seeking a full-time Criminal Defense Attorney to handle a wide range of felony and misdemeanor cases across the state. This role offers the opportunity to represent clients through every stage of the criminal justice process, from investigation to trial. The ideal candidate is a confident courtroom advocate with a deep understanding of criminal law and a commitment to protecting individual rights. Location Chandler, AZ Duties Represent clients in felony and misdemeanor criminal matters across Arizona Conduct client interviews, investigations, and case evaluations Prepare and file legal motions, pleadings, and supporting documents Perform legal research and formulate strategic defense plans Appear in court for arraignments, hearings, trials, and post-conviction proceedings Negotiate with prosecutors and participate in plea discussions Maintain strong client communication and provide guidance throughout the legal process Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure efficient case management Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing criminal law Licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona and in good standing Ability to manage a high caseload with strong organizational skills Willingness to travel for court appearances and client meetings across Arizona Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications Active and in-good-standing admission to the Arizona State Bar Skills Strong courtroom and trial advocacy skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Skilled in negotiation, client counseling, and legal analysis Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism, discretion, and client empathy Comfortable handling a diverse range of criminal charges Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) Retirement plan options Supportive team environment with opportunities for professional growth SKILLS - Criminal Law - Defense
