Credentialing Project Coordinator (Remote) - Medical Staff Services

Job Summary:

Join the team at Baptist Health South Florida, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization, as a Credentialing Project Coordinator in our Medical Staff Services department. In this remote role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that only qualified practitioners provide care within our organization. You will support the credentialing and recredentialing processes for applicants and members of the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals, collaborating with Medical Staff Offices to verify credentials and obtain privileges.

Key Responsibilities:


Process initial applications and reappointment applications in accordance with established policies, rules, regulations, bylaws, and NCQA standards.
Verify credentials and obtain privileges for healthcare providers in collaboration with Medical Staff Offices.
Participate in projects to facilitate the credentialing and verification process.
Function under close supervision of department leadership and participate in educational opportunities.


Requirements:


High school diploma, certificate, GED, or equivalent required; training or experience in credentialing preferred.
Three (3) years of experience in credentialing.
Database and computer literacy; professional communication skills (written and verbal); excellent customer service, organization, planning, and time management skills.
Ability to function independently and serve as a resource for others in the department.
