CPA Licensed VP of Finance
As the operational finance leader, the full-time remote CPA Licensed VP of Finance will manage accounting operations, financial reporting, and controllership while leading a high-performing finance team and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Key responsibilities
ā¢ Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial statements
ā¢ Lead external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners
ā¢ Prepare internal financial reports for the CFO and executive team while implementing robust internal controls and accounting policies
Required qualifications
ā¢ 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role in biotech or pharma
ā¢ CPA certification required, with a preference for candidates with a Big Four or mid-tier public accounting background
ā¢ Deep expertise in US GAAP and technical accounting, with direct experience managing external audits
ā¢ Proven ability to build financial systems and processes in fast-moving environments
ā¢ Experience in public-company finance or leading a company through the public process strongly preferred
