Job Details
Responsibilities
? Lead the corporate tax planning initiatives to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
? Prepare and review the company's ASC 740 income tax provisions and disclosures, including uncertain tax positions.
? Coordinate with internal and external auditors on income tax provision audits.
? Develop tax strategies that align with the company's business objectives and ensure tax efficiency.
? Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
? Review and manage all federal, state, and local corporate tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments.
? Provide technical tax expertise to various business and corporate teams.
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners and external tax advisors.
? Mentor and develop the tax team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree in Taxation or Law is preferred.
? Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
? Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate tax planning and compliance, with a focus on ASC 740 and income tax provisions.
? Comprehensive understanding of tax law and statutory regulations.
? Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
? Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
? High degree of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
? Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
? Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
