Corporate Controller
Position: Corporate Controller
Location: Remote - San Francisco, CA (Must be located in the SF area or West Coast)
Comp: $185K to $240K + Bonus + Equity

Genesis Partners has been exclusively retained by a high-growth, PE-backed consumer product company headquartered in San Francisco. As they scale nationally, they are seeking a dynamic Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations, elevate reporting standards, and build scalable processes across the organization.
This is a strategic opportunity to join an innovative brand during a pivotal phase of growth. The role reports directly to the CFO and will be a key financial partner across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance
• Own the preparation of GAAP financial statements and partner with external auditors
• Manage and mentor a growing accounting team
• Oversee ERP optimization and accounting system improvements
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Drive accounting policy development, documentation, and internal controls
• Partner with FP&A and cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasts, and business analysis
• Support board and investor reporting requirements
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
• Strong foundation in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred)
• CPA required
• Experience in the CPG sector, ideally in a high-growth or PE-backed environment
• Hands-on month-end close and financial reporting experience
• ERP implementation or optimization experience is a strong plus
• Retail channel exposure (wholesale) is a nice to have
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Remote for candidates located on the West Coast or East Coast
• Bay Area residency preferred for occasional in-person meetings with leadership
