Corporate Banking Analyst

About the position Responsibilities • Act as primary day-to-day contact for transaction execution support including the collaboration across credit, legal, compliance and various product groups within the bank. • Assist with client requests and service-related activities across industry verticals and/or regional coverage. • Research and prepare credit screening memos for internal discussions. • Coordinate the modeling of profitability measures and relationship planning efforts across the team. • Lead client and prospect database activities to maintain good data hygiene. • Lead event management for internal events and training, and external events for event ticket management and special events. • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. • Complete other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in banking, finance field with a minimum of two years work experience. • In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/or work experience. • Financial analysis and knowledge of credit principles. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel using diplomacy. • Excellent presentation skills. Nice-to-haves • Advanced computer skills and strong knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point. • Prior experience working within a financial institution.
