Corporate Affairs & Communication Internship

Join American Express as a summer intern in Corporate Affairs & Communications to gain hands-on experience in media relations, employee communications, and corporate sustainability.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:
• Writing and editing press releases, messaging, pitches, social media copy, and more
• Researching and creating targeted media lists
• Developing and implementing internal communication strategies and events
• Brainstorming communication concepts and approaches for marketing programs
• Assisting with creation and execution of social campaigns around select sponsorships
• Researching company initiatives, benchmarking competitors, and preparing materials for executive events
• Working within the Corporate Affairs & Communications team to support strategic business initiatives

About You

The company is looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree candidates with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027
• Currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s degree program
• Curiosity about writing, social media, and communications
• Excellent written, verbal, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with flexibility (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail (preferred)
• Employment eligibility to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided

Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly wage range: $24.05 to $63.00 plus sign-on bonus
