Copywriting and Content Marketing Intern | BudgetPolitan | Handshake

BudgetPolitan is looking for a copywriter and content marketing intern with the right combination of initiative, organizational skills, and enthusiasm to help us build and grow our brand. Your duties will include assisting with the creation and dissemination of website written and visual/social media content, traditional PR pitching and creating compelling and progressive brand elevating imagery within brand standards.
This an unpaid internship for credit with potential talks for a full-time position.
REQUIREMENTS- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts. - Possess skills at initiating innovative ideas, unifying team members, and judging correctly what will appeal to target audiences. - Prefer challenges that involve communication, are people-oriented, promote networking and socializing, and include roles that call for imagination. - Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.- Knowledge of WordPress and other current Content Management Systems.- Experience/interest in Web maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist with editorial projects and provide support to the marketing team.- Write effective copy, excelling in correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. - Proofreading both hard and electronic files.- Use alternate forms of communication (including graphic arts), resulting in improved interactions. - Assisting with or proofing of basic ads, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc. - Edit and proof other team members work and provide constructive feedback.- Work on special projects, as needed.
