About the position
The Copywriter & Proofreader at ILIA, Inc. is a vital role within the Copy & Editorial team, responsible for producing and refining copy that aligns with the brand's voice and standards. This position combines creative writing with meticulous proofreading to ensure all content is error-free and consistent with the brand's style guide. The role is hybrid, allowing for flexibility in work location for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities
Ā Write and edit copy for visual merchandising, retail marketing initiatives, product packaging, and more.

Ā Proof a high volume of digital and print assets to ensure copy is error-free and consistent with brand style guide.

Ā Support translations process to ensure key deliverables are localized for global markets.
,
Ā Partner with product development, regulatory, and design teams to support ongoing packaging artwork releases.

Ā Contribute copy for 360 campaigns from concept to launch, including in-store activations, educational materials, paid ads, and more.

Ā Ensure the ILIA voice comes to life consistently across all brand touchpoints.

Ā Brainstorm and pitch new ideas for best-in-class creative to support successful product launches.
Requirements
Ā Minimum 2+ years professional writing and proofing experience, preferably in the beauty/wellness space.

Ā Ability to write engaging, on-brand copy and quickly grasp the ILIA voice.
,
Ā Impeccable grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
,
Ā Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and deadline-driven.

Ā Experience collaborating in a highly cross-functional environment.

Ā Ability to juggle multiple priorities against tight deadlines.

Ā Passion for the beauty landscape and knowledge of trends in the space.
