About The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Copywriter to join our dynamic team remotely, with the possibility of working from our offices in El Segundo, CA, or North Hollywood, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling, persuasive, and engaging copy across various marketing channels.
Your work will directly contribute to revenue growth and brand awareness, supporting our mission to be a leader in the pet industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, a keen understanding of consumer psychology, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your craft in a fast-paced environment while making a tangible impact on the company's success.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 1+ years of professional, high-output creative writing or communications experience
• Sales or direct response copywriting experience preferred
• Extensive research skills utilizing primary sources
• Ability to produce over 1,000 words daily in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to accept and apply constructive feedback
• Strong multitasking skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Eagerness to learn obsessively about consumer psychology, the pet industry, and high-performing copywriting techniques
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, major in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Screenwriting, Marketing, or Communication
Responsibilities
• Develop engaging, persuasive, and warm copy for various marketing channels, including email campaigns, websites, print materials, and social media
• Support the email list with compelling content and sales emails aimed at driving revenue
• Write and edit content for brand order pages, upsell pages, and video scripts
• Execute monthly email and text marketing campaigns, focusing on revenue generation
• Collaborate with colleagues to review, edit, and proofread all written materials to ensure quality and consistency
• Conduct thorough research to inform content creation, utilizing primary sources and industry insights
• Manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards
• Participate in ongoing learning to refine copywriting skills and stay updated on industry trends
