An opportunity is available for an experienced English Copy Editor to support high-quality written content across a range of AI training initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented language professional who can ensure clarity, consistency, grammatical precision, and stylistic excellence across complex written materials. We are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional command of English, strong editorial judgment, and a meticulous eye for detail. This role requires consistent engagement and reliability over time. • Key Responsibilities • Edit and proofread written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and clarity • Ensure consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology across documents • Improve structure, readability, and logical flow without altering the intended meaning • Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and factual or structural issues • Enforce style guide adherence and maintain high editorial standards • Flag unclear instructions, weak reasoning, or editorial risks in source material • Provide thoughtful feedback to enhance overall content quality • Ideal Qualifications • 5+ years of proven professional experience in copy editing, proofreading, journalism, publishing, technical editing, or a related field • Exceptional written and grammatical command of English (native or near-native proficiency required) • Demonstrated history of high-precision editorial work with minimal error rates • Extremely high attention to detail and ability to catch subtle inconsistencies • Strong familiarity with style guides (e.g., Chicago, AP, MLA, or equivalent) • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality standards • Reliable availability and consistent engagement • More About the Opportunity • Minimum commitment: 20 hours per week • Ongoing, consistent engagement expected • Work involves reviewing and refining high-volume written material Contract and Payment Terms • You will be engaged as an independent contractor. • This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule. • Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance. • Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
