Controller (Remote - PE-Backed SaaS/Services)

Controller role-own accounting in a remote, PE-backed growth company. • Role: Controller • Location/Type: Remote (US-based) • 2-4 annual trips paid • Pay: $110k-$130k base + 10% bonus (comp negotiable with experience) • Schedule: Standard business hours (remote setup, flexible) What you'll do • Own full accounting cycle, AP/AR through month-end close • Establish a faster, consistent month-end close process • Lead audit prep and manage external auditor relationship • Manage ASC 606 revenue recognition from customer contracts • Support NetSuite migration and process automation • Build controls, policies, and cash management practices • Deliver accurate financials, board-ready reporting, and ad hoc analysis Must-haves • Active CPA • 5+ years accounting experience • Deep GAAP and ASC 606 knowledge • Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar) • Comfortable as a department of one Nice to have • NetSuite implementation experience • SaaS or PE-backed company exposure Perks & pay • Base: $110k-$130k • 10% annual bonus • Medical, dental & vision-100% employer-paid for employee, partial family coverage • Employer-paid life, short-term & long-term disability • PTO + paid holidays • 401(k) offered • Compensation flexibility for highly experienced candidates Schedule & setup • Standard business hours, remote • 2-4 in-person team sessions per year (company-paid travel) Your work strengthens controls, ensures audit readiness, and builds the finance backbone for scale.
