Come join an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact!Role OverviewThis role will assist in laying the foundation for the planning, management and execution of all accounting operational functions across Atomic's entities, including its investment management and brokerage operations. As a strategic hands-on leader you will be responsible for the corporate accounting, risk management and treasury areas while supporting regulatory processes, external reporting, consolidations, technical accounting, tax strategies and accounting technology enhancements. Once here you willCore Accounting Ops: Plan, direct, and execute all core accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliation, financial reporting, invoicing, A/R, A/P, and payroll administration across entitiesEntity & Group Financials: Manage accounting for individual entities and consolidate group financial data for accurate business resultsAudit & Regulatory Filings: Lead regulatory filings and audits, including FOCUS reports, Net Capital Computations, and coordination of annual audits and periodic reviewsBudgeting & FP&A: Spearhead budget processes, track variances, and support development of business metrics and FP&A groundworkProcess Improvement: Assess and enhance accounting operations, systems, and controls; implement new tools and workflows for efficiencyCompliance & Reporting: Oversee regulatory reporting, tax planning, and maintain good financial standing with relevant state agenciesStrategic Support: Provide actionable financial insights to leadership and assist with partner diligence requestsLicensing: Serve as Financial and Operations Principal (Series 27 to be obtained upon joining, with company support)What we're looking for 8+ years in accounting, including leadership roles; experience in high-growth, high-performance startup environments strongly preferredB.S. in Accounting; CPA strongly preferredDeep knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, and regulatory reporting; able to analyze and communicate complex financial dataComfortable with cloud-based accounting tools and modern project management and productivity toolsProficiency in working with data and summarizing through statistical and visual approachesAtomic is an equal opportunity employer that values the benefits of diversity and prohibits discrimination and harassment All employment decisions at Atomic are based on business needs, job requirements and individual qualifications, without regard to age, race, color, religion or belief, stature, gender or sexual orientation, family or parental status, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.
