We are looking for a Controller to lead our accounting function, driving the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to support long-term scalability and growth. In this role, you will ensure strict compliance with all statutory requirements across Canada, the U.S., and international markets, while building a robust foundation for our global operations. You will lead a talented accounting team, oversee daily operations, and drive strategic initiatives that align with our growth objectives. What you'll be doing Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team of 8, including 5 direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Oversee all accounting operations, including journal entries, payroll, commissions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, statutory reporting, banking, and daily operations in accordance with Canadian ASPE. Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, updating financial accounting policies as needed. Maintain and enforce a monthly close calendar, meeting all deadlines for reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis. Prepare consolidated financial statements and lead initiatives to identify operational cost efficiencies. Lead the automation of accounting system integrations with the CRM, acting as project manager to ensure successful implementation. What you bring to the table CPA Designation is required. SaaS Experience: Proven expertise in subscription-based revenue models, including a deep understanding of SaaS financial practices. Systems Automation & Process Improvement: Strong focus on driving automation and continuously improving financial processes to enhance efficiency and scalability. Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to various stakeholders, including non-financial team members. Advanced Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, including expertise with functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis. Technical Tools Experience: Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, Stripe, and Salesforce is a strong plus. Why join us?
