Contractor: Graphic Designer

Scope of Services: Seeking to hire a fast-moving Contract Graphic Designer to help us produce high-quality digital marketing content at scale. In this role, you’ll work primarily with existing brand guidelines, Canva templates, and our illustration library to create and adapt assets for social media, marketing resources, and other digital campaigns. A major focus of this role is adding motion and animation in Canva to make social content more engaging. You may also occasionally support the team with light video editing —such as cutting clips, adding lower thirds, or intro/outro bumpers—when needed. Key Responsibilities Social Graphics & Motion Design Create social media graphics and marketing assets primarily in Canva and Figma . Add motion and animation in Canva to bring posts to life (moving elements, transitions, simple loops, reels). Adapt templates for different platforms while ensuring all content remains visually engaging and on-brand. Customize vector illustrations from our library (color changes, rearranging, remixing layouts) in Figma and Adobe Illustrator . Marketing Materials Production Design and adapt digital PDFs, one-pagers, and campaign assets for email and web. Ensure all assets align with brand guidelines and maintain a cohesive look across channels. Light Video Editing (As Needed) Trim and resize clips for different formats (vertical, square, 16:9). Add lower thirds, intro/outro bumpers, captions, or light color adjustments. Collaboration & Brand Consistency Work closely with the marketing and social teams to deliver content on schedule. Maintain and organize templates, illustration files, and other creative assets. Stay current on social platform specs, trends, and safe zones to maximize performance. What We’re Looking For Experience: 2+ years creating social media and marketing assets, ideally in a fast-paced environment. Tools: Advanced skills in Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (for vector work). Motion Skills: Experience adding animation/movement to social content in Canva. Video (Nice to Have): Familiarity with Premiere, Final Cut, or similar for light edits. Attention to Detail: Strong eye for layout, typography, and brand consistency. Bonus Skills: Experience in education or SaaS/tech design environments.
