Contract Specialist or Fractional Counsel for Customer PO Review & Negotiation
Description: We are a specialty manufacturing company in Washington State that receives frequent purchase orders and subcontract agreements from general contractors and commercial customers. We are looking for either a Contract Specialist or Fractional Counsel to help us review, revise, and negotiate contract terms. Scope of work: Review customer POs and subcontract documents Flag risks, unfavorable clauses, and scope misalignments Prepare redlines or recommended revisions Communicate with customers to negotiate terms when appropriate Help develop standard terms and a contract playbook for future use You may be a great fit if you have: Experience in construction, manufacturing, or commercial contracting Comfort negotiating directly with customers/GCs Strong understanding of indemnity, payment terms, warranties, insurance requirements, and flow-down clauses Clear communication skills and a practical, business-focused mindset (Optional) Legal training or licensure Engagement details: Fractional / ongoing Flexible workload If you have a background in helping businesses navigate customer POs and negotiate fair terms, we’d like to hear from you.
