Contract Litigation Attorney (Insurance Defense) — $200/hr (Of Counsel / Contract)

Overview We are seeking an experienced insurance defense litigator to serve as Of Counsel / Contract Litigator for a corporate law firm in Illinois. What We Need: • Someone comfortable with motion-heavy practice (2-615, 2-619, discovery motions, etc.) • Experience fighting large or mid-size defense firms • Ability to handle hearings in Cook, Lake, or DuPage • Ability to follow a litigation roadmap • Strong drafting skills for motions, responses, and discovery • Someone who is responsive and efficient What We Offer: • $200/hr guaranteed (no insurer audits, no billing micromanagement) • Someone who used to working off of the insurance company billing schedules • Predictable monthly work (8–20 hours/mo to start) • Long-term litigation matters • Opportunity to take on more responsibility over time • Flexible schedule — work remote • Minimal admin / no marketing / no collections Ideal Candidate: • 10+ years of litigation experience • Insurance defense, construction defect, or general liability background preferred • Comfortable going against firms like Taft, Hinshaw, Dykema, Johnson & Bell, etc. • Wants stable, predictable contract work • Wants respect and straightforward clients Type of Work: • Drafting motions & responses • Discovery practice • Court appearances & hearings • Depositions (optional based on skillset) • Strategy consultation (optional) If you are a skilled litigator looking for flexible, well-structured, predictable contract litigation work at a fair rate — we want to talk to you.
