Contract CPA – Tax Review & Planning (Remote, Part-Time)
About Us:
We are a growing tax resolution and advisory firm seeking an experienced CPA to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. Our firm works with individuals and businesses to resolve tax issues and implement effective tax strategies.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented CPA to review completed tax returns and provide tax planning insights for our clients. This role has the potential to expand into ongoing tax planning and advisory work.
Responsibilities:
• Review individual and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance
• Identify errors, risks, and opportunities for optimization
• Provide tax planning recommendations based on client situations
• Collaborate with our internal team on case strategy
• Offer guidance on complex tax scenarios when needed
Workload & Structure:
• Each return review is expected to take approximately 1–2 hours
• Tax planning engagements will be assigned on a case-by-case basis
• Flexible schedule – work as needed based on volume
Qualifications:
• Active CPA license (required)
• Strong experience with individual and business tax returns
• Background in tax planning and strategy preferred
• Familiarity with IRS resolution cases is a plus
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills
Compensation Details:
• $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience
• Paid on a 1099 contractor basis
