Contract Administrator — Entry-Level / Early Career

Remote Full-time
About the position

At Veilant, we are doing meaningful work in the defense space, and we are looking for a sharp, motivated Contract Administrator to grow with us. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to break into government contracting and build a long-term career in the contracts management arena. You do not need to come in as an expert. We are looking for someone with strong business judgment, attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the drive to learn how Department of Defense contracts are managed the right way. This is not a paper-pushing role. This is a career-building seat where contracts meet mission. You will learn how compliance, documentation, customer requirements, internal operations, and contract execution all come together to support critical defense work. If you are a recent college graduate, early-career professional, or someone with a background in business administration, communications, pre-law, finance, government, or operations, this role could be a strong entry point into a high-demand field.

Responsibilities
• Support the administration of Veilant’s Department of Defense contracts while learning the full contract lifecycle from award through execution and closeout.
• Work closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, finance, leadership, and other internal stakeholders to help keep contract activity organized, compliant, accurate, and on track.
• Develop hands-on experience with government contracting concepts, contract documentation, compliance requirements, contract modifications, deliverable tracking, and internal contract processes.
• Maintain accurate contract files, records, and administrative documentation.
• Support contract setup, tracking, reporting, and internal coordination.
• Assist with contract modifications, task orders, deliverables, and deadlines.

• Learn our contract administration processes, tools, workflows, and documentation standards.
• Support the organization and maintenance of contract files and key compliance records.
• Begin assisting with Independent Contractor processes and related administrative tracking.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, especially Program Managers and Project Managers.
• Gain exposure to FAR, DFARS, FFP contracts, IDIQ vehicles, Task Orders, and other core government contracting concepts.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage sensitive information responsibly.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Pre-Law, Finance, Government, Public Administration, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines, documentation, and multiple priorities with accuracy
• Interest in building a career in government contracting, contract administration, or contracts management
