We believe that a component is worth a thousand APIs.What you will doAs a Content Engineer, you will create high-quality, search and answer engine optimized content that drives developer adoption. Combining your engineering expertise with strong technical writing skills, you'll build Clerk’s organic presence through various forms of content, from explanations of Clerk to thought pieces on industry topics. In this role, you will:Identify, develop, and ship high-impact technical content focused on Clerk's features and components, from initial content strategy through execution and performance measurement.Act as customer zero, ensuring our written content meets developers needs and enhances their understanding of Clerk’s features.Keep up-to-date with our products, industry trends, and the needs of our users to ensure the creation of relevant and effective content.Review and refine content and code examples for clarity and accuracy.Coordinate with Marketing and Product teams to align content with feature releases and growth objectives.About youYou bring at least 4 years of technical writing or developer relations experience with a strong portfolio of developer-focused content.You have web development experience with Next.js and a proven track record of explaining complex technical concepts clearly.You excel at writing for developer audiences and breaking down complex concepts while maintaining technical depth.You maintain high quality standards and refuse to publish anything that isn't polished and well-crafted.You use metrics and community feedback to guide content decisions while understanding SEO principles for technical content.You have outstanding project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Application RequirementsWhen applying, please submit a favorite piece of your own technical writing (e.g., blog post or related) that demonstrates your ability to explain complex concepts to developer audiences.
