Content Claims Specialist - Field - Level 1
Crawford & Company is a leading provider of claims management solutions, and they are seeking a Content Claims Specialist to join their edjuster team. This role involves assisting with the inventory and valuation of total loss contents for policyholders, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and accurately.ResponsibilitiesConduct onsite attendance to meet the adjusters/policyholders and other industry vendors and conduct the inventory of the total loss contentsConduct and facilitate virtual meetings with policyholders for data collection during total loss content recreations, guiding them through structured memory exercises to accurately document non-restorable itemsEnsure consistent and quality turnaround of all claims in accordance with the company’s productivity and Performance Excellence GuaranteeWork with the support of other teams at edjuster to organize/direct the resources required for completing the inventory and like, kind, and quality (LKQ) valuation of all total loss contents in an efficient and effective manner per productivity standardsAdhere to edjuster Inc.’s commitment to timely and informative updates on the content claims process to adjusters/policyholdersComplete/submit detailed work/time logs daily, for all claim tasks completedMaintain claim related notes in the company’s platform Exclaim, related to various tasks involved in handling the claimCoordinating with edjuster teams to ensure timely and accurate completion/pricing and adhering to Like, Kind and Quality (LKQ) standardsConsistently promote edjuster’s brand, image, and reputation in a professional and positive mannerManaging expenses and submission of claim related costs in accordance to company policies and timelinesOrganize and maintain a structured calendar to prioritize tasks, schedule appointments and manage time effectively in a fast paced environmentSkillsA Secondary School diplomaPrior experience in insurance, customer service, retail, food and beverage, construction or restoration are all relevant and would be considered for the roleSome prior background/experience in the Property claims industry would be considered an assetStrong customer service skillsPatience, empathy, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently in most circumstances, with minimal supervisionAccess to a reliable insured vehicle to travel to claim sites within designated regionOwn a current valid driver's license in good standingStrong computer skills (MS Office, Google Workplace, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Strong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to adapt to change and new technologyWillingness to learn and continuously improveMust successfully pass both a criminal background check and employment reference verificationMust be able to sit or stand for extended periods of timeMust be physically capable of performing repetitive motions and tasks as requiredComfortable identifying household goods and assigning reasonable valuesBenefitsHealth benefits including extended health, dental, STD, LTD, AD&D, Life Insurance and Dependent Life Insurance.Incentive Compensation and Retirement Savings including TFSA, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and bonus incentives.Wellness programs and gym membership.Corporate discount programs.Work life balance and paid time off policies.Paid volunteer hours through Crawford Cares, our internal volunteer committee.Company OverviewBased in Atlanta, GA Crawford & Company(R) (www.crawco.com) is the world's largest publicly listed independent provider of claims management and outsourcing solutions to carriers, brokers and corporates, with an expansive global network serving clients in more than 70 countries.
