About the position

The Consumer Lending Title Representative is responsible for processing titles, payoffs, and obtaining proper liens on collateral for consumer loans. This role involves following up with members, borrowers, and dealers on outstanding titles while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The position requires a focus on member service and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities
Ā• Process titles, payoffs, and obtain proper liens on collateral for consumer loans.

Ā• Ensure the proper security interest is recorded and prepare necessary title forms.
,
Ā• Obtain titles from members, borrowers, dealers, and other financial institutions with the credit union's lien.
,
Ā• Follow up on titles, including UCC financing statements and other documents.
,
Ā• Process electronic titles daily that come via VINtek.
,
Ā• Maintain loan files and research title questions, assisting members and borrowers with title changes.
,
Ā• Process daily payoffs for consumer loans, including release of security.
,
Ā• Provide branch support credit union wide and support coworker duties as needed.
,
Ā• Handle phone calls from other financials, lawyers, dealers, and insurance companies with questions or requests.
,
Ā• Verify information on incoming titles matches security on consumer loan documents.
,
Ā• Prepare additional miscellaneous documents for imaging, such as turndown and secured loans.
,
Ā• Maintain and balance departmental GLs and prepare County Treasurer/Recorder bags for dispatch.
,
Ā• Follow up and certify lenders protection loans and handle daily departmental mail.

Requirements
Ā• High school diploma.
,
Ā• 2+ years of experience in a financial institution or related field.
,
Ā• Fluent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
