Consumer Banker Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
Ā Perform necessary functions to open accounts, perform maintenance.
Ā Run a Teller drawer as deemed necessary by management.
Ā Support client engagement through active calling, client conversations, and follow up.
Ā Daily activities that align with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience), including but not limited to:
Ā Partner with internal constituencies to bring expertise to clients.
Ā Ensure client follow up calls are conducted in the proper time frame.
Ā Maintain operational and risk management standards.
Ā Other duties as assigned to assist clients transact business within the branch, drive-thru, by phone and email.
Ā Model the way for peers and coworkers aligned with First Financials Mission and Values.
Ā The CB is responsible for adherence to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
Ā Tracks, reports and communicates business results and activities to their FCM.
Ā Partner with District Specialists to execute retail strategies and objectives.
Ā Function as a client's personal trusted advisor by adding value and building deep client relationships.
Ā Participate and lead in the First Financial Bank Experience.
Ā Consistently meet or exceed sales, service and referral goals.
Ā Provide digital assistance and service for clients establishing or in need of support.
Ā Assist the branch team, FCM and other District leaders and associates in sharing knowledge and solving staffing challenges.
Ā Stay informed and up to date on bank products, processes and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Ā 3-4 years client experience and retail banking.
Ā Demonstrated success with consultative, needs-based selling.
Ā Strong product knowledge related to consumer and commercial deposits, investments, consumer loans, business loans and treasury management.
Ā Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ā Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Ā Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ā Familiarity with consumer and small business credit.
Ā Strong product knowledge relating to consumer and commercial suite of products and services.
Preferred Qualifications:
This position requires occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs., frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs., occasional walking, frequent sitting, standing and driving.
