Responsible for the management of outpatient, day surgery and in-patients
Outpatient review of patients and assessment of new referrals to the department
To contribute to the strategic planning and service development of the Urology department

Job Responsibilities

To ensure the provision of good standards of practice and care, as prescribed in GMC Guidance Duties of a Doctor, at all times; and ensuring that bad practice is reported, as appropriate.
To ensure that clinical practice is both effective and efficient and that appropriate monitoring of clinical care takes place.
The Consultant has a continuing responsibility for the care of the patients in their charge and for the proper organisation and functioning of their clinical practice. To achieve this, the post holder will liaise closely with other specialties, departments and outside agencies in contributing to the objectives of the department, CMG & Trust.
