Responsibilities
? Advise on highly complex issues, studies, research, and analysis projects.

? Represent and speak on behalf of IT and IRS at professional meetings and conferences.

? Consult with senior level staff in IRS and other IT specialists on IT policies, issues, and problems.

? Provide professional leadership and direction in the design and development of major prototype and developmental systems.

? Conduct research into significant areas such as artificial intelligence and its applications.

? Collaborate with international experts to develop IT policies and represent IRS in technical committees.

? Function as a recognized program expert and provide consultation to outside authorities.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 30 semester hours in mathematics, statistics, and computer science.

? At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must include statistics and mathematics, including differential and integral calculus.

? Demonstrated professional competence in applying theoretical foundations of computer science.
,
? Specialized knowledge of system design characteristics and applications of computing.

? Experience in security research, acquisition, design, development, and maintenance of information systems.
