Employment Type: Permanent land-based roleAre you someone who enjoys decoding complex technical standards, staying ahead of ever-evolving legislation, and ensuring operational excellence through rigorous compliance?We’re looking for a Compliance Manager to join our busy maritime operations team, supporting a fleet of 20 vessels (many on the 'larger' size). This is an opportunity for someone who takes quiet pride in detailed research, writing, and regulatory mastery.What You'll Be Doing:Monitor and interpret new maritime regulations (commercial and yachting), with a focus on practical implementation and alternativesUpdate and maintain Safety Management Systems (SMS), including writing and re-writing content in line with regulatory updatesManage technical documentation and ensure reporting obligations are met (e.g., MRV, emissions, and environmental compliance)Support the use of Manage My Vessel software and ensure compliance is maintained across the fleetWork collaboratively with the Owner, Fleet Manager, and other key personnel (Ops Manager, Crew/Finance Manager, Technical Superintendent)Who We're Looking For:A meticulous, research-oriented individual who thrives in focused and structured environmentsSomeone with a natural curiosity for maritime regulations and compliance best practicesPrior experience in technical maritime operations or a similar regulatory setting is advantageousStrong written communication and documentation skillsExperience with ISM Code, MRV, emissions reporting, or Safety Management Systems is a bonusWhy Join Us?A supportive, knowledgeable team who values accuracy and proactive thinkingFlexible working conditions (hybrid or remote options may be considered)A pivotal role in helping shape the compliance standards of a growing maritime operationIf you find satisfaction in understanding regulations inside and out—and ensuring nothing is missed—this could be your perfect fit.
