ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Consumer Compliance Lead (Complaints) to join our growing team. You will be an individual contributor, with an immediate focus on the regulatory complaints response process and related reporting. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to special consumer compliance projects as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Consumer Compliance team promotes Current’s adherence to consumer protection laws, regulations, rules, and standards when interacting with the public and our customers. As a consumer compliance analyst, you may contribute to this important work in many ways.
β€’ Regulatory Complaint Response:
β€’ Analyze communications of dissatisfaction from our customers to identify potential regulatory risk; research individual cases
β€’ Carefully and efficiently draft detailed and accurate formal written responses to customers, bank partners, and regulators
β€’ Work in collaboration with other team members to escalate issues and create actionable reporting
β€’ Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of one or more Complaints Analysts, including quality review, coaching, and escalation support.
β€’ Own team-level complaint handling outcomes by ensuring timely, consistent, and regulator-ready investigations and responses across assigned complaint types.
β€’ Special Projects: Current Compliance moves fast, and our risks and priorities are constantly in flux as our business evolves. That means everyone on our team is regularly asked to pitch in and take on additional projects that may be a departure from prior day-to-day responsibilities.

ABOUT YOU
β€’ You have at least four (4) years of relevant experience.
β€’ You have demonstrated experience managing or formally leading one or more team members, including performance oversight, coaching, and workflow prioritization.
β€’ You love research; you are a great writer; you are great with data; you are fanatically detail-oriented; you hold yourself to the highest standards in everything you do; you are excited to learn new subject matter and new technologies; you are flexible and collaborative; you embrace change; you want to be part of a team of high performers that works closely together to excel.

β€’ Bonus:
β€’ You have worked at a fintech or bank, or in law or consulting.
β€’ You are familiar with consumer finance regulations (such as Reg E and Reg Z) and investigations.

This role has a base salary range of $95,000 - $130,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, skill level, and qualifications, which are assessed during the interview process.
