In the role of Compliance & Contract Analyst, you will be responsible for compliance audits, write policies and procedures, research laws and regulations, analyze data, prepare reports, monitor potential risks, and work collaboratively with management to correct and mitigate identified concerns. At times, this role will also be supporting additional activities such as business associate agreements, monitoring privacy practices, researching related issues, and providing recommendations for remediation. About The Position Audits and Risk Assessments: Support the completion and documentation of compliance and privacy related audits. Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to ADA, OSHA, EEOC Compliance, Privacy etc. Policies and Procedures Responsible for drafting and performing a quality assessment of policies in preparation for approvals. Reviewing policies to ensure they are accurate, clear, concise, grammatically correct, and not in conflict with other polices. Assist policy authors with policy related questions. Supporting the Policy Subcommittee (PSC). This includes scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas and materials, communication with members and policy stakeholders. Compliance/Privacy Training and Education: On a monthly basis, monitor reports for overdue learners and notify leaders when Associates are past due on compliance related training. Assist Associates with any compliance and privacy training related questions or issues. Support the preparation of articles for staff communications on relevant compliance topics and facilitate annual Compliance Week. Support the development and maintenance of the Corporate Compliance Communications Plan. Privacy Reports, Investigation and Mitigation: Collaborate with management regarding PII and PHI concerns and responsibilities. Coordinate with the DOC to determine if communication with customers about a privacy related incident is required. If so, support the communication of required information to the customer. Ensures all privacy-related complaints and reports are appropriately documented. Focused Auditing/Monitoring/Trending: Annually assess the company's compliance program and readiness for an external review by oversight agencies. Support special investigations in response to external requests for records and audits. Identify compliance and privacy related risk areas and conduct audits of such risk areas. Monitor Associate discipline related to compliance. Report all compliance related corrective action and/or discipline to the DOC as needed and to the Corporate Compliance Committee on a quarterly basis. Corporate Compliance Committee (CCC): Responsible for preparation of materials for the Corporate Compliance Committee. Collaborate with the DOC to develop agendas, reports, presentations, communications, and minutes for the meetings of the Corporate Compliance Committee. Responsible for assisting with the remediation of any issues or questions raised by the CCC. Report on compliance related training quarterly and as needed for reporting to the Corporate Compliance Committee or other leaders Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, law, healthcare administration, regulatory compliance, or related area, from an accredited college or university or advanced degree or equivalent experience in place of advanced degree. 2-4 years of experience in healthcare compliance, auditing, quality, or related experience gained through working in a medical or clinical role. Successful demonstration of the ability to draft policy independently and timely. 1-2 years experience drafting and editing policies and procedures in a similar role is required. Fundamental understanding of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations, experience of application in a similar function of healthcare administration preferred. Familiarity with health care fraud and abuse laws including the False Claims Act, HIPAA, Privacy Rule, HITECH, and - CHPC/CHC strongly preferred or ability to obtain within one year of hire. Preferred Requirements: Proficient with technical writing skills. Proficient in researching various topics including state and federal law. Proficient in interpreting and summarizing regulations, state, and federal law. Comfortable working in remote/hybrid environment both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment. Able to travel 2-3 times a year to Signature office locations or client sites. Able to follow directions and work independently. Possesses strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills to collaborate with associates at all professional levels within the organization, clients, & vendors. Concurrently handle multiple tasks and carry out multiple short- and long-term projects. Ability to perform under pressure or in circumstances requiring short timelines for completion of work. Able to set and change priorities quickly as the situation warrants. Perform detailed-oriented work accurately and take initiative to learn new tasks. Strong analytic, problem-solving, critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Consistently demonstrate a high standard of personal and professional conduct, ethics, objectivity, judgment, and discretion. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information with discretion. Act as a team leader for small projects or work groups.
