## Community Employment Program Specialist

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Community Employment Program Specialist for the Work. Source West Facility in Morganton, NC. This position is Grade NC06 and part of the Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD).

### About the Role

You'll be responsible for assessment, training, and placement of referred consumers with disabilities into curriculum programs at our facility. The work is directly aimed at helping individuals achieve skill attainment, gain appropriate training and support, ensure their safety, and ultimately achieve successful placement leading to gainful competitive employment.

### What You'll Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assessing and teaching training programs to individuals with varying disabilities. You'll manage work station set-up, work flow, and quality assurance processes to keep operations running smoothly. Part of your role involves providing orientation and supervision to consumers in the program, ensuring they have the guidance they need to succeed. You'll utilize our case management system to document the provision of services provided in accordance with each consumer's rehabilitation plan. Additionally, you'll support outreach activities to inform the community on available services.

### Qualifications

You must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

- Bachelor's degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution; or

- Associate's degree in a human services or business field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience; or

- High school or General Educational Development (GED) and four years of directly related work experience; or

- An equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid North Carolina driver's license is required to drive state vehicles.

### Preferred Skills

While not required to meet minimum qualifications, we're especially interested in candidates who possess experience working with individuals with disabilities, knowledge and/or experience helping others obtain employment, and knowledge and/or experience working within a team setting.

### Work Arrangement

This position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours, offering flexibility while maintaining the in-person connection necessary for this work.

### Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $35,596 - $62,294 annually, with the recruitment range at $35,596 - $50,000. The State of North Carolina offers excellent comprehensive benefits.
