Job Description/Responsibilities

The Communications Leader – Americas will assist with promoting Sazerac’s global spirits portfolio in the US and LATAM markets, implementing campaigns to generate buzz and earned media coverage for various brands including: BuzzBallz, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, and many more. This role will be a critical member of the team, helping to keep us organized and informed while also assisting with the execution of communications campaigns. This person will need to be able to travel up to 25% of the time in this role.



What You’ll Do:

Obsessively track current events and be deeply embedded into the cultural zeitgeist by keeping pace with the ever-changing news cycle and thinking outside the box to identify opportunities that insert our brands into relevant conversations

Manage PR and influencer campaigns across the USA and LATAM with minimal oversight

Manage internal team of PR experts (~4) across the USA and LATAM, including assigning and managing workload

Build and manage relationships with media, influencers, agencies, and industry partners while creating compelling PR materials that generate earned media coverage and brand visibility.

Lead the development and execution of integrated PR campaigns, influencer programs, special events, and creative brand activations, partnering cross-functionally to bring innovative ideas to market.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

Undergraduate degree

10 or more years of relevant experience

Proficiency with pr tools such as: muckrack, meltwater, etc. and MS Office products

Strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining organization and attention to detail.

Effective communicator and collaborative team player, capable of building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization while maintaining a professional presence.



Preferred:

Agency and/or spirits experience

Bilingual skills in English/Spanish

The annual salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
