The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is looking for a proactive and creative Communications Associate to support our external engagement efforts. This is an unpaid internship position, ideal for students or recent graduates in communications, public health, or a related field seeking hands-on experience in global health communications.

IDA is a fast-growing, impact-driven organization bringing together around 45 colleagues worldwide. Our work spans advocacy, policy, and coordination across infectious disease threats. The Communications Associate will play an integral role in amplifying our message, promoting events, and engaging with our global network.

Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and schedule content for IDA’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, etc.)
• Support the promotion and dissemination of IDA events and campaigns
• Assist with writing and formatting monthly newsletters and partner updates
• Maintain and update IDA’s website and media assets
• Track engagement and help grow IDA’s digital presence
• Collaborate closely with IDA’s Communications and Policy team

Profile:
• Background in communications, public health, journalism, or related field
• Strong writing skills and an eye for detail
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress)
• Creative, organized, and self-motivated
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Passion for global health and equity
