Job Description

The Commercial Builder Examiner is responsible for the examination of title records, issuance of title insurance commitments and owner and encumbrance reports.

Responsibilities
• Examine large acreage tracts for purchases/financing and future development
• Prepare base files for existing and future subdivisions to be examined for lot takedowns/financing by builder team
• Examine small commercial/residential orders from builder agents not related to development/subdivisions
• Review surveys, objection letters, probates, divorces and other curative items in connection with examination

Key Strengths
• Strong organization skills – maintaining information about subdivision phases and development over time greatly improves efficiencies
• Communication with underwriting and agents to address questions or concerns arising from title
• Metes and bounds/acreage proficiency to tackle large development projects. Platting and mapping of legal descriptions, easements, etc.
