Collections Specialist - Eurofins Environment Testing - Barberton, OH

The Collections Specialist will manage a portfolio of client accounts, contact clients for payment of past due invoices, and resolve account issues while maintaining excellent customer service.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain accounts within assigned portfolio (large accounts)Contact clients via verbal and written communication for payment of past due invoicesProvide information and/or documentation to both internal and external clientsInteract with Collections Manager and Operation Designees to resolve client issuesMaintain current and accurate account notes in collections softwareProvide updates on accounts to Collections Manager, Operations and Sales as neededWork daily follow up queue in collections softwareNotify the Collections Manager of negative payment patternsFacilitate and/or attend conference calls specific to collections activity on client accountsResolve cash discrepancies on client accounts by research in Oracle of payment applicationProcess credit card paymentsComplete side projects/ task as assigned by Collections ManagerAdditional duties as assignedSkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAt least 1 year of Collections/ Accounts Receivable experience or customer service experienceComputer skillsAuthorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorshipProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in EnglishPrevious Collections experiencePrevious Accounts Receivable experienceKnowledge of the Accounting processCustomer service experience - internal and externalAS/AA in Accounting or related field is a plusGeneral business conceptsGeneral accounting knowledgeComputers and accounting software knowledgeBasic mathematical principlesKnowledge of collections policies, procedures and best practicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsActive listening skillsNegotiation skillsProblem solving skillsOrganizational skillsStrong customer service skillsDetail orientedAbility to employ tact and discretion in business-related conversationsBenefitsComprehensive medical coverageLife and disability insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidaysPaid time offDental and vision optionsCompany OverviewEurofins provides testing and support services to the pharmaceutical, food, environmental, and consumer products industries.
