Collections Officer

Description Reporting to the Director of Credit and Administration, the Collections Officer enriches member lives by p r o v i d i ng , ti me l y a n d acc u ra t e i n f o r m at i o n a n d ex em p la r y s e r v ice to m e m b e rs as well as offering credit solutions to solve their financial needs. In addition, this role mitigates the risk for loss by providing dedicated management of SCCU’s delinquent accounts and appropriate advisory services to the members. This position requires an individual with strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with respect to other SCCU functions. The incumbent will be self-motivated and have excellent time management problem solving and prioritizing skills. Requirements The preferred candidate has completed one to two years of post-secondary education in a general business program, plus two to five years’ experience in lending or collections. Diverse collections experience considered an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered as well as other relevant working experience.
