Colleague & Labor Relations Specialist

American Express is seeking a Colleague & Labor Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for championing a positive employee experience and a deep understanding of labor relations. The Colleague & Labor Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing all labor relations activities and working to ensure a positive relationship between management, union representatives, and colleagues.We are seeking a professional who has a minimum of 5 years of experience in a labor relations role and has strong knowledge of labor and employment law. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.If you are passionate about creating a positive and engaging workplace and have a strong understanding of labor relations, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
Advise management on labor relations issues and ensure compliance with labor and employment laws.
Represent the company in labor negotiations and arbitrations.
Develop and implement labor relations policies and procedures.
Manage grievances and disputes and provide guidance to management on resolving issues.
Monitor and review collective bargaining agreements.
Manage employee relations and communication between management, union representatives, and colleagues.
Investigate and analyze employee complaints and provide guidance on appropriate resolution.
Develop and deliver labor relations training to management and staff.
Provide coaching and mentoring to management team.
Analyze trends and recommend strategies to improve labor relations.
