Role Description
The Collateral Underwriter is responsible for the assessment of all subject collateral originated through the retail platform for conventional loans.
Analyze, evaluate, and decision appraisal reports in accordance with all agency and investor guidelines and standards.
Complete comprehensive collateral reviews in a timely manner to meet service level expectations.
Maintain a pipeline and communicate issues to Appraisers, Processor, and Originators.
Remain informed and current on all agency and investor guidelines and updates.
Maintain a high level of customer service.
Collaborate with the Post Closing Department on any stipulations for closed files.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3 years’ mortgage underwriting experience.
Experience in collateral underwriting, preferred.
Working knowledge of all agency and investor underwriting policies.
Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Advanced analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements
Hourly Rate: $33.65-$38.46.
The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
